Ping.Sg Replaces Tomorrow.Sg As The Preferred Sg Blog Aggregator

When I first started to blog, ping.sg does not even exist. Through the effort of its founder, Uzyn, it seems that this dynamic community is growing faster. No doubt a few big news helped to propel it past tomorrow.sg but the fact that users are becoming more acceptable to the theory of allowing users to vote for their favourite news rather than giving the priviledge to the selected few who during one instances even posted his own and approving it. In some ways it breeds cronyism.

A good way of gauging their traffic would be via alexa as it is seen that ping.sg has much better traffic flow, meaning more users are using it to find the latest happening on Singapore blogosphere. I remember in the past that a plug from tomorrow.sg would mean an extra 1,000-1,500 users traffic but it has since dramatically dropped.

Perhaps it will be good to see a version of Ping.sg in Malaysia? Though frankly, petalingstreet.org seems to be doing okay as it is based on what users post and is updated continuously.

An honest question here. Do a lot of Malaysian bloggers use ping.sg?

There used to be a Malaysian version of tomorrow.sg! (editor-based aggregator) I don’t even remember the URL now. It has died a quick death.

    DeltaP: I think so.

Aw: You mean blogmalaysia or something? I think user based aggregator is still the better way forward.
